Welcome to Dent Precision Paintless dent and ding removal mobile service. Door dings, shopping cart dents, parking lot dents, hail damage, things falling over in the garage, these are just some of the things that may have happened to your car, truck, or motorcycle and the reason why you find yourself here at this website. Paintless dent removal is also good for removing these small dents and dings from your lease return vehicle before you turn it in so the dealer does not "ding" you with a large bill. Before there was the technique of paintless dent removal, this type of damage would have to be fixed the old fashioned way which consisted of grinding the paint off over the dented area then using various methods of pulling the steel out as much as possible and then applying a skim coat of bondo followed by level sanding, then priming, and more sanding, then painting the entire panel. This costs a lot of money and can be detected as being a car that has had paintwork done to it. You will also be without your car for a week or more. Now the other way to fix this type of damage is with the highly skilled technique of paintless dent removal. This technique will remove the dent or ding that has no paint damage. Using this technique I will acquire access to the back of the dent and using various steel rods that I make, I massage the steel to remove the dent. These dents do not pop out. The steel has been stretched by the dent, so there is more steel in that area then before the dent got there. So by working the steel with a rod behind the dent, and working the top surface of the dent with special tools, the stretched extra steel can be shrunk down while reshaping the damaged area to it's original form with no effect to your factory paint. Achieving perfect results with this technique requires a natural talent and years of experience. One of the main reasons for the technique being possible to execute is the fact that the modern paint on your car is very flexible. In days of old the paint was much more brittle and would crack if you attempted to fix it this way and of course the steel on your newer car is much thinner than the steel from days gone by. Not all pdr companies are equal. Large corporate owned companies will usually have a lot of lesser trained and inexperienced workers that would be sent to your house to work on your car for a small commission of what your bill would be. Also, companies that paint bumpers and wheels outside with no paint booth and fix windshields, are jack of all trade companies. Paintless dent removal is a side show for them. They usually have an employee they sent out for a couple of weeks of paintless dent training. They are armed with a new set of tools and little to no experience. They can practice on your dent and hope you think it looks good for long enough to pay them. Dent Precision is a one man show. I specialize in paintless dent removal only and pride myself in achieving perfect results. I have been performing paintless dent removal day in and day out for the past 25 years. When you contact Dent Precision you will speak directly to me and I will be the tech who comes to remove your dent as if it were my own car. I service most of the North County body shops and high end dealers so your BMW, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Lexus, Honda, Toyota, Etc... is my specialty. By contacting me directly you will cut out the middle man and save yourself some money. Not all dents can be fixed using the paintless technique. If your dent has damaged your factory paint, or involves the edge of a panel (see diagram) or is stretched too severely for a proper result, then your dent will probably need a body shop. By calling me with a description of your dent, or better yet, emailing me a picture of your dent, I can let you know if I can come to you and make your dent disappear. Prices for a dent start at $75 and max out at around $200. I also service motorcycles, removing dents from tanks and fenders. Call me with a description of your dent, or send a picture. If it is workable, I will come to you and make your dent or ding disappear. |
